Almond Crunch Cookies

Almond Crunch Cookies with Dark Chocolate

1/2 cup butter flavored Crisco
1 stick butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
Dash salt
1 heaping cup self-rising flour
1 heaping cup all-purpose flour
8 oz dark chocolate with almonds, chopped
8 oz butter toffee almonds, chopped

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, cream together Crisco, butter and sugars.
3. Add eggs, almond extract, soda and salt. Mix well.
4. Incorporate flours to form dough.
5. Stir chocolate and almonds into dough.
6. Drop dough by spoonful onto ungreased baking sheets
7. Bake 10-12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets.
