Chili con Carne
Ingredients
1 ½ lb beef stew meat
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp flour
1 ½ tsp chili powder
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp Dickie Bird Garlic Salt
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp red pepper flakes
¼ cup yellow onion, chopped
1 Anaheim chili, chopped
1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14 oz) chili ready tomatoes
1 cup cooked brown beans
Directions
1. Brown stew meat in a non-stick skillet. Melt butter into meat. Add flour, seasonings and sugar, whisk smooth. Remove from heat.
2. Combine onion, pepper, tomato sauce, tomatoes and beans in crockpot.
3. Spoon skillet contents into crock. Stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
