Dickie Bird BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
6 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 small sweet yellow onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
40 oz ketchup
¾ cup cane syrup
½ cup Bragg apple cider vinegar
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
2/3 cup dark brown sugar
¼ cup Cholula
½ cup mustard
4 tsp quality Cajun or Creole seasoning, I use Tony’s
1 ½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp coarse black pepper
4-5 quart size Ball wide mouth canning jars, sterilized

Directions
1. Mix all ingredients in a crock pot, low heat for 3-4 hours.
2. Pour BBQ sauce into sterilized jars and process according to safe canning guidelines or refrigerate until use.
