Flat Bread with Fresh Herbs
Flat bread can be used for wrap sandwiches, mini pizzas or served with a cup of your favorite soup.
Flat Bread with Fresh Herbs
Ingredients
1 Tbsp lard
½ cup warm water
Dash salt
2 cups self-rising flour plus additional flour for rolling
Fresh herbs, snipped: I used basil, chives and parsley.
Directions
1. In a large bowl, soften lard in warm water.
2. Add salt and herbs.
3. Knead in flour.
4. Cover bowl and allow dough to rest for 30 minutes.
5. Preheat a nonstick skillet to medium.
6. Break off a small piece of dough. Roll out on a floured surface.
7. Fry each side for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and cover to keep warm.
