Maple Glazed Squash Flowers

1 Large Acorn Squash
3 tsp vegetable oil
Sea salt and fresh milled pepper
¼ cup butter
2 Tbsp maple syrup

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Cut squash into 1 inch slices. Remove seeds. Rinse with water.
3. Grease a large baking sheet with vegetable oil. Place squash slices on baking sheet. 

4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake 15 minutes. Flip, Bake an additional 15 minutes.
5. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet. Remove from heat. Whisk syrup into butter.
6. Drizzle glaze over squash. Finish under broiler for 1-2 minutes.
