Peanut Butter Pie
Ingredients
1 ½ cup vanilla wafer crumbs
5 Tbsp butter, melted
1 pkg (3.9 oz) chocolate instant pudding
2 cups milk, divided
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 pkg (3.4 oz) vanilla flavor instant pudding
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup whipped cream topping
1 tsp shortening
3 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Combine vanilla wafer crumbs and butter. Press crumbs into a 9inch pie dish. Bake 10 minutes. Cool.
3. In a large bowl, beat together chocolate pudding and 1 cup of milk for 2-3 minutes. Spread over prepared crust.
4. In another large bowl, beat together remaining 1 cup milk, vanilla pudding, cream cheese, ¾ cup peanut butter and 1 cup whipped cream topping. Spoon mixture over chocolate and spread to edges of crust.
5. Melt shortening in a small saucepan. Add chocolate and melt over low heat. Spoon melted chocolate over top of pie.
6. Melt remaining ¼ cup peanut butter on stovetop or in microwave. Drizzle over pie.
7. Refrigerate 2-3 hours before serving.
