Ranch Bacon Rolls
Make it breakfast with eggs over easy and sautéed jalapenos.
Ranch Bacon Rolls
Ingredients
1 packet rapid rise yeast
2 Tbsp sugar
2/3 cup warm water
3 cups bread flour
½ tsp salt
1 egg
¼ cup butter flavored Crisco
2 Tbsp Ranch salad dressing
4 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions chopped
Directions
1. Mix yeast and sugar in a bowl, add warm water. Allow yeast to swell for 5 minutes.
2. In large bowl, mix to combine flour, salt, egg and Crisco.
3. Pour swelled yeast to dry ingredients, knead well. Add additional flour if dough is too sticky.
4. Place dough in a bowl, cover loosely, and allow to rise for 1 hour.
5. Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to 1/2 inch thick rectangle.
6. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
7. Using a spatula, spread ranch over dough. Sprinkle with bacon, cheese, and chopped onions.
8. Roll dough up lengthwise. Slice in 1 inch slices.
9. Place slices on a baking stone.
10. Bake 15-20 minutes, until tops are golden.
