Shredded BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients
1 whole chicken, cut up
¼ cup salt
2 cups chicken broth
1 ½ cup Dickie Bird BBQ sauce
4 green onions, chopped
Thick sliced sandwich bread

Directions
1. The evening before cooking, dissolve salt in a large bowl of warm water. Place chicken in bowl and cover with additional water. Brine in refrigerator overnight.
2. Drain chicken.
3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
4. Place chicken in a roasting pan. Add broth. Cover pan with foil.
5. Roast chicken for 1-2 hours, meat should fall off the bone. 
6. Allow chicken to cool completely before removing meat from bones. Place meat in a crock pot. Discard chicken skin and bones to doggies.
7. Pour BBQ sauce and one cup water over chicken. Stir in chopped onions. 
8. Cook meat on lowest setting for 2-4 hours before serving sandwich style.
