Squash Biscuits

At Dickie Bird Farm, we like winter squash so much that we eat it for breakfast!
 



Squash Biscuits

Ingredients
1 cup winter squash puree
2 Tbsp butter, melted
¼ cup cream
½ tsp soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 ½ cup self-rising flour

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Preheat baking stone.
2. In a large bowl, beat together squash, butter and cream.
3. Add remaining ingredients to bowl, mix well.
4. Cut biscuits with a cutter. Place on preheated baking stone in oven.
5. Bake 15-18 minutes.
6. Serve warm biscuits with Dickie Bird Farm Apple Butter, honey butter or brown sugar butter.
