Stuffed French Toast
Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
½ tsp cinnamon
1 loaf Cinnamon Bread, sliced thick
Butter
4 oz cream cheese
4 oz fruit preserves
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, vanilla, eggs and cinnamon.
3. Soak bread in egg mixture for 5-10 minutes.
4. Grease a skillet with butter.
5. Fry both sides of bread until golden, adding more butter to skillet as you fry batches.
6. Place cooked slices of bread on a baking sheet. Smear cream cheese over half of bread, cover the remaining half with preserves. Bake 12-15 minutes.
7. Remove French toast from oven, sandwich slices.
8. Serve hot.
