Sweet n’ Salty Caramel Bars

Ingredients
1 cup butter, room temp
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
Dash salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ heaping cups all-purpose flour
10 oz milk chocolate chips
10 oz peanut butter chips
3 oz (1 small bag) pretzels, broken
14 oz caramels
2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream together butter and sugar.
3. Beat in egg yolks, salt, baking soda and extract.
4. Incorporate flour to form dough.
5. Lightly grease a large, rimmed baking sheet. Distribute dough evenly on sheet. Press into place.
6. Bake 15 minutes.
7. Remove from oven. Sprinkle chocolate and peanut butter chips over cookie crust. Allow chips to melt 2 minutes, and then press broken pretzels into place.
8. Prepare a double broiler. Heat caramels and cream, stir smooth.
9. Drizzle caramel over cookie. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
