Vanilla Nilla Nana Cake
Ingredients
¾ cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
¾ cup sour cream
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
5 very ripe bananas
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1 (3.4 oz) pkg banana cream instant pudding
1 cup milk
1 box Mini Nilla Wafers
Vanilla frosting
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, beat together butter, sugar and sour cream with an electric mixer.
3. Add eggs, vanilla and ripe bananas to bowl, mix well.
4. Add soda, powder and flour to bowl. Blend bowl contents to create a thick batter.
5. Stir mini chips in with a large spoon.
6. Grease two 9 inch springboard pans. Divide batter evenly between pans. Bake 35-40 minutes, until center of cakes are well set, and tops are golden. Cool completely before removing from pan.
7. Prepare cake platform. Level bottom cake if needed.
8. Whisk together pudding mix and milk. Spread over bottom ckae. Layer Nilla wafers on top pudding.
9. Stack second cake. Spread vanilla frosting over entire cake. Layer Nilla wafers to finish. Refrigerate until serving.
