Yogurt Sesame Bread
Ingredients
1 packet rapid rise yeast
2 tsp sugar
¼ cup warm water
3 cup flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup plain yogurt
½ cup butter, melted
1 egg white
1 Tbsp water
Sesame seeds
Directions
1. In a small bowl, Mix yeast and sugar. Add warm water. Allow yeast to swell for 5 minutes.
2. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, soda, powder, salt, yogurt and butter. Pour in yeast mixture.
3. Knead in last 1 cup flour. Cover and rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
4. Punch down dough. Divide in two. Shape into long loaves. Place in greased loaf pans, cover loosely with greased saran wrap. Allow loaves to rise until doubled in size.
5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
6. Combine egg white with 1 Tbsp water, lightly whisk. Brush loaves with egg wash. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 20-25 minutes until loaves are golden.
