Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
with crunchy glazed pecans

½ cup pecans, chopped
2 Tbsp plus ¼ cup butter
3 Tbsp sugar
Dash salt
Fresh or refrigerated bread dough
3 Tbsp brown sugar
 *Icing if desired

Glazed Pecan Directions

Glaze nuts well in advance, to allow plenty of time to cool completely. They keep well stored in airtight containers.

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a small baking dish.
3. Toss nuts with 3 Tbsp sugar and a good coating of cinnamon
. Add a dash of salt.
4. Bake 30 minutes. Cool completely. Store until use.

Cinnamon Roll Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Melt butter over low heat on stovetop.
3. Brush a casserole dish with butter.
4. On a floured surface roll dough out, to a large rectangle.
5. Brush liberally with melted butter. Sprinkle with 3 Tbsp brown sugar, a good coating of cinnamon and 1/3 cup glazed pecans.
6. Roll rectangle up lengthwise. Cut in two inch segments. Place in prepared dish, face up. Allow 20 minutes to rise.
7. Brush with butter. Gently press remaining glazed pecans into tops.
8. Bake 35-40 minutes until golden brown.

*Whip together 2 Tbsp cream and 1 cup powdered sugar for an easy icing.
