Christmas Sugar Cookie Cutouts

Ingredients
1 cup Crisco
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp almond extract
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
3 cups flour plus additional for rolling
Decorative sugar

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream together Crisco and sugar.
3. Beat in egg, milk and extract.
4. Add salt and powder.
5. Incorporate flour to form dough.
6. Roll out dough on a well-floured surface, kneading additional flour into dough for optimal  cutting consistency. Dough is perfect when the cookie cutter makes a clean cut.
7. Cut dough into desired shapes.
8. Pour colored sugar into a shallow dish. Gently press cookie cut-out into sugar before placing on ungreased a baking sheet.
9. Bake each sheet 10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet.
