Pecan Sanded Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 ¼ cup sugar
1 egg
Few drops pecan flavor
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 heaping cups self-rising flour
6 oz glazed pecans, chopped
¼ cup colored sanding sugar

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream together butter and sugar.
3. Add egg, pecan flavor, soda and salt to bowl. Mix well.
4. Incorporate flour to form dough.
5. Pour sanding sugar into a shallow dish. Break dough into small pieces, roll in sugar, and then place on ungreased baking sheets.
6. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
