Turkey or Chicken Tetrazzini

Ingredients
2 lbs turkey legs or one whole chicken
Salt
Pepper
8 oz egg noodles
1 (10.5oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp parsley
½ tsp Dickie Bird Farm Minced Garlic
½ tsp coarse ground black pepper
½ cup mushrooms, sliced
3 green onions, chopped
¾ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/3 cup breadcrumbs

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place turkey or chicken in a baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. Add 1 cup water. Cover with foil and bake 2+ hours, until meat falls off bone. Remove meat and set aside.
3. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain well.
4. In a large saucepan combine soup, buttermilk, parsley, minced garlic, pepper, mushrooms, onions and turkey meat over medium heat. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and noodles.
5. Spoon mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs. Bake 30 minutes until hot and bubbly. Serve immediately.
