Cinnamon Nut Raisin Cookies
Ingredients for cinnamon nuts
1 cup unsalted nuts, chopped
½ cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
¼ cup water
Directions
1. Combine nuts, sugar, cinnamon, water in a saucepan.
2. Stirring constantly bring to boil, and then reduce to medium. Cook until syrup has evaporated, about 15 minutes.
3. Spoon nuts onto a plate, cool completely.
4. Chop

1 cup butter flavored Crisco
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
2 heaping cups self-rising flour
½ cup raisins
½ cup cinnamon nuts, finely chopped
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream together Crisco and sugars in a large bowl.
3. Beat in eggs and vanilla with an electric mixer.
4. Incorporate salt, soda and flour to create dough.
5. Stir in raisins and nuts.
6. Drop dough by spoonful onto ungreased baking sheets.
7. Bake for 12 minutes.
8. Remove from oven and allow cookies to cool.
