Traditional Sourdough Bread
Ingredients
2 cups sourdough starter, room temp
1 Tablespoon butter, melted
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon sugar
2-3 cups bread flour
Butter

Directions
1. Whisk together butter, milk, salt and sugar in a large bowl.
2. Stir in starter.
3. Knead in flour. Start with 2 cups and add more as required. Dough should be moist. Work dough until smooth and elastic.
4. Cover and let rest 30 minutes.
5. Roll dough out to a large oval. Roll up to form a long loaf; Pinch seams, tuck ends.
6. Place loaf on a prepared pan. Score loaf a few times diagonally. Cover with greased plastic wrap and allow dough to rise in a warm place for 2-3 hours.
7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
8. Bake 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven. Brush with butter.
