Lentil Burgers
(Vege Burgers)
Ingredients
8 oz lentils
1 clove garlic, minced
3 Tbsp oil + additional oil for frying
Seasoned salt
1 tsp hot sauce
1/3 cup flour
Bread, cheese and burger fixings
Directions
1. Place lentils and garlic in crock pot. Cover with 1 inch water. Turn to high. Cook until water is dissolved and lentils are mushy.
2. Spoon cooked lentils into a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Add 3 Tbsp oil, seasoned salt, hot sauce. Mash with a potato masher. Remove from heat. Stir in flour.
3. Preheat oil in a cast iron pan to medium. Fry patties 2 minutes on each side, until golden.
4. Serve burger style.
