Buttermilk Corncakes
Ingredients
½ cup cornmeal
½ cup flour
3 Tbsp sugar
½ tsp baking powder
Dash salt
2 Tbsp butter, melted
1/8 cup water
¼ cup buttermilk
1 egg
Apple butter, sorghum or cane syrup for serving.
Directions
1. Mix together all ingredients.
2. Preheat a skillet.
3. Fry both sides golden.
