How to Dry Hot Peppers
Dehydrate hot peppers:
1. Harvest peppers.
2. Wash.
3. Spread peppers on food dehydrator trays.
4. Dehydrate at 140 degrees F for 8-12 hours.
5. Store dried peppers in airtight containers. Store whole, or pulse dried peppers in a food processor and store as spice.
Hang dry hot peppers:
1. Pull up entire pepper plants.
2. Hang plants upside down in a dry area with good air circulation.
3. Peppers will take several weeks to dry.
4. When peppers are crisp, remove from plants.
5. Store dried peppers in airtight containers. Store whole, or pulse dried peppers in a food processor and store as spice.
