Simple Strawberry Syrup
1 qt ripe strawberries
1 cup sugar

  1. Remove strawberry tops. Rinse strawberries.
  2. Puree strawberries in a food processor.
  3. Pour puree into a heavy skillet.
  4. Add sugar.
  5. Bring to boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, simmer 25 minutes, until liquid is reduced to about 2 cups.
  7. Remove from heat and cool.
  8. Store in airtight jar.
